Real Men Do Wear Plaid (Skirts)

Kilt

Earlier today I blogged about receiving a bag of gently worn clothes, which are too small for me to wear. While it will be nice to wear these "new-to-me" shirts when I lose some weight my ultimate clothing goal is a bit more unconventional.

Being of Scottish ancestry I have always been interested in all things Scottish. I've taken Bagpipe lessons, eaten Haggis and attend local Highland Games and Celtic Gatherings when I have the opportunity. I just feel so out of place not wearing the traditional highland dress when I'm listening to the skirl of the pipes, watching the athletes toss the Caber and enjoying a warm, flaky Forfar Bridie. However, I plan to rectify my lack of Scottish dress when I reach my goal weight.

My reward will be a brand new Buchanan Tartan kilt. By then I should have the legs to really show it off.
